Responding to a directive of the L.A. County Department of Mental Health, Child & Family Center was one of the first agencies in the state to implement the required Electronic Health Records System. Thanks to grants from major Los Angeles foundations in the amount of nearly a half-million dollars, the Center was able to purchase the software and hardware for the innovative program.

In July 2009, the Center  began transitioning programs from hardcopy charts to the Electronic Health Records, Welligent System. In Welligent, services are documented according to contractual requirements, billings are generated, and data is available for reporting and analysis to ensure that client needs are being met by the services being provided.  A comprehensive electronic health record can increase consumer convenience and satisfaction and provider efficiency, while maintaining clinical quality. Child & Family Center is proud to stay on top of technological advances and use the EHRS to improve the quality of the services we provide to our clients and the community.
