The Child and Family Annual Fund

The Child & Family Fund (Annual Giving) is a way for supporters to make regular contributions that form the vitally important foundation for the Center’s philanthropic revenue. These gifts may be made on an annual basis. They may be undesignated and utilized where the need is greatest at the time the gift is received, or, in the case of Guardians of Hope, a specific fund has been created for the proceeds. These donations fall within the Guardians of Hope or the Circle of Friends membership groups. For these gifts, pledges can be committed and payments made as a single donation or through a payment plan designed by the donor. The Child & Family Fund is an excellent way to maximize tax planning for charitable contributions. A year-end appeal is made to donors to assist in their planning.

A Gift In Honor

What better way to honor a loved one, especially that person who “has everything”, than with a charitable donation made in his or her name? A special birthday or anniversary, a celebration of achievement, or “just because”… this is the perfect time to give this unique remembrance. You will receive a letter of confirmation for your records, and your “honoree” will be sent a beautiful card announcing your gift. At the Center’s fiscal year end, your loved one will be listed in the Annual Report because of this special recognition.

A Gift In Memoriam

These days, many people are making charitable contributions in lieu of sending flowers following the passing of a loved one. Such gifts to Child & Family Center are especially appreciated during a time of remembrance. Your gift will be acknowledged officially for your records, a beautiful card will be sent in remembrance, and your departed loved one will be named in the Center’s Annual Report.

Matching Gifts

Even in tough economic times, Americans are philanthropic. Many businesses and work places have a program of Matching Gifts that matches employees’ charitable donations. This might be a 1:1 or 2:1 match, and some employers even match such donations by 3:1! You can find out if your place of employment takes part in Matching Gift philanthropy through the company’s HR office. If you are fortunate to be employed by such a charitable company, please secure the appropriate form from HR and after filling it out, send it to Child & Family Center with your personal donation.
