Child & Family Center had a great time celebrating the season at our staff holiday party. 💛 Between live musical numbers performed by staff, great food (and celebrating our Bake Off winners, Jummy Aderele in first place!), and plenty of laughs, it was a reminder of how special this team really is. Thankful for the people who make Child & Family Center such a supportive and dedicated place.
From all of us to you, we wish you a happy and healthy holiday season. 🎉❄️

The Child & Family Center will be closed from December 24th to January 2nd and will reopen on January 5th.
As we take this brief pause, we want to share our genuine appreciation for our supporters, partners, and the families we serve. Your trust, collaboration, and connection continue to inspire our work every day.
Please know that our commitment to safety and care remains unwavering. Our 24/7 Domestic Violence Hotline ☎️ and Emergency Shelter 🏠 will remain fully available to anyone needing support during this time. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please call 661-259-4357.
For immediate mental health support, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is also available around the clock, offering free and confidential assistance in both English and Spanish.
We are feeling incredibly grateful this holiday season! 🎁✨
A huge thank-you to Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo and the team at Kaiser Permanente for supporting our Adopt-A-Family program this year. Their generosity helps bring comfort, joy, and hope to the children and families we serve.
We also want to extend our deepest appreciation to every individual, family, business, and organization who donated gift cards and gifts. Because of YOU, our families are receiving holiday support that truly makes a difference.
This community continues to show up with open hearts, and we are so thankful for each and every person who helped make this season brighter. ❤️
Happy Holidays from all of us at the Child & Family Center! ✨
✨ ’Tis the season to give back and lift our community! ❤️ Last week, our Child & Family Center CORE outreach & prevention team joined Pueblo y Salud in Lancaster for a powerful food giveaway event, meeting families where the need is and offering support with care.
More than 200 community members received bags of food, toiletries, toys, and access to resources from incredible organizations focused on health, wellness, and stability.
We’re proud to stand alongside our community and continue showing up with hope, compassion, and connection this holiday season. ✨🤝💙

Yesterday, Felicia Skaggs, our Program Director of the Domestic Violence Program, and Destiny McCune, our Marketing & Community Outreach Program Manager, attended “Cocktails & Conversation with Captain Brandon Barclay".
We are incredibly grateful for our ongoing partnership with Captain Barclay and the support we receive from local law enforcement in serving survivors and strengthening families in our community. Opportunities to connect and collaborate like this are invaluable to our mission.
A special thank-you to the Valley Industry Association (VIA) for hosting such a meaningful event and continually creating spaces where community organizations and leaders can come together.
Together, we make a stronger, safer community. 💙

Big thanks to everyone at College of the Canyons who stopped by our tabling event and joined us for Let’s Be Blunt, our second substance-use prevention workshop! Child & Family Center`s CORE Outreach & Prevention team is excited to now be on the COC campus collaborating with the Wellness Center to bring resources, conversations, and support directly to students.
Alongside our team, students explored how to make safer, informed decisions in social settings.
