Dr. Michelle Witkin dedicated years of her career to helping children, teens, and families access life-changing care through Child & Family Center.
Michelle first connected with Child & Family Center as a practicum student in 1989. What began as a training experience grew into a lasting professional journey, leading her back as a postdoctoral trainee and eventually a staff member for nearly a decade. Reflecting on her time with the organization, Michelle shares a moving story about a former client whose unexpected message years later served as a powerful reminder of the lasting impact therapists can have on a person`s life.
For Michelle, Child & Family Center`s greatest strength is its ability to provide support and services to people of all ages, especially those who might not otherwise have access to the help they need.

Through decades of dedication, Cheryl Jones evolved from a part-time marketing assistant hired by one of Child & Family Center`s founders to the Vice President of Marketing & Community Outreach.
Cheryl`s journey began in 1996 when she answered a newspaper help-wanted ad and was hired on the spot by co-founder Carol Gelsinger. Over the next 30 years, she helped tell the story of Child & Family Center, raising awareness and generating support that helped fuel the organization`s growth from a staff of 25 to 160 employees serving children and families throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
Among Cheryl`s most cherished memories are the children in the Center`s therapeutic preschool, from holiday celebrations to graduation ceremonies. She reflects on the importance of early intervention and the positive ripple effect it creates, helping not only children, but also families, schools, and the broader community.

Dedicated volunteer and former intern Joyce Carson has spent decades championing Child & Family Center`s mission, helping build connections that continue to strengthen families and our community.
Joyce first became involved with Child & Family Center in 1984 while completing her master`s degree in family therapy, joining the organization as an intern. Over the years, she developed deep ties to the Center and the community, fondly recalling the early days of Taste of the Town and the many local leaders who helped the event grow. She shares a lighthearted memory that illustrates how relationships, persistence, and a little creativity helped inspire others to become involved. Above all, Joyce reflects on a belief that has guided her involvement for decades: healthy families create healthy cities.
