This statistic is heartbreaking — and it’s why safe domestic violence shelter matters. 💜
Through Child & Family Center’s Domestic Violence Program and our 30-day emergency shelter, we help women and children find immediate safety and stability — preventing them from becoming or staying homeless after fleeing a violent home life.
This past year, our Domestic Violence Program experienced funding cuts… but that doesn’t mean the need is any less. Survivors are still reaching out, still leaving in the middle of the night, still needing a safe place to land and supportive services to rebuild.

Child & Family Center had a great time celebrating the season at our staff holiday party. 💛 Between live musical numbers performed by staff, great food (and celebrating our Bake Off winners, Jummy Aderele in first place!), and plenty of laughs, it was a reminder of how special this team really is. Thankful for the people who make Child & Family Center such a supportive and dedicated place.

✨ ’Tis the season to give back and lift our community! ❤️ Last week, our Child & Family Center CORE outreach & prevention team joined Pueblo y Salud in Lancaster for a powerful food giveaway event, meeting families where the need is and offering support with care.
More than 200 community members received bags of food, toiletries, toys, and access to resources from incredible organizations focused on health, wellness, and stability.
We’re proud to stand alongside our community and continue showing up with hope, compassion, and connection this holiday season. ✨🤝💙
