For five decades, Child & Family Center has grown alongside the Santa Clarita Valley, providing mental health, behavioral health and family services to thousands of children, adults and families.
On Thursday, Child & Family Center celebrated its 50th anniversary with a gathering at its campus, bringing together current and former staff members, community supporters, board members, funders and others who have played a role in the center’s history.
Rather than a formal evening of speeches, the anniversary celebration was designed as a time to reflect on the organization’s journey and celebrate the people who helped make it possible.
Historical photographs were displayed throughout the campus, giving attendees a visual look at the organization’s evolution. Outside, a large timeline banner chronicled five decades of milestones, from its beginnings in 1976 to the more than 150-person organization it is today.
