Child & Family Center Receives Grant To Support Trauma-Informed Art Training For Domestic Violence Services

By KHTS

Child & Family Center is honored to announce it has received a grant through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture to support specialized training for Domestic Violence Program Case Managers in “A Window Between Worlds,” a nationally recognized healing arts program designed to support individuals and communities impacted by violence and trauma.
A Window Between Worlds is dedicated to using art as a healing tool to empower and transform individuals and communities affected by violence and trauma.

Its approach, often described as “Art Transforming Trauma,” uses creative expression in safe, supportive environments to help survivors release trauma, build resilience, and experience hope, safety, and healing.

Through this grant, Child & Family Center’s Domestic Violence Case Managers will receive training to incorporate trauma-informed art practices into their work with survivors of domestic violence and their children.
