Child & Family Center Staff Complete Early Childhood Fellowship Program

Child & Family Center has announced that staff members Heidi Viramontes, LCSW Program Coordinator II, Early Childhood and Multidisciplinary Assessment Team and Sommer Mneimne, LCSW Clinical Supervisor Outpatient Services, have completed the 2024-2025 UCLA Early Childhood Fellowship sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health in collaboration with the UCLA Prevention Center of Excellence.

In addition, Amy Warren, PsyD, Manager of Training and Education for Child & Family Center, was accepted into the upcoming 2025-2026 Fellowship cohort.

The 10-month program brings together professionals working with young children to learn research-based and community-informed practices in prevention and early intervention. This year’s cohort consisted of 20 Los Angeles county organizations representing various backgrounds, including mental health therapists, early childhood educators, parent partners, speech/language therapists, Department of Children & Family Services and Department of Mental Health.
