Angela Artiaga

• Educator/Community Member

Ms. Artiaga has been dedicated to education of youth in many iterations and at several levels. She started her career in Higher Education working with design students first as an Admissions Advisor and later Director of Career Services for an Art and Design College where she also established their very first Alumni and Staff Community Connections Team.

After 4 children of her own, Angela spent much of her time in Elementary classrooms as a volunteer and facilitator for Junior Achievement, Reading Peer Assisted Learning Strategies and as a member of Campus Improvement Committees and the PTA.

Her family life has had her moving frequently with her husband’s job in Aerospace and she has called New Jersey, Florida, Kansas, Texas and California home. Most recently Angela held the position of Assistant Director of Reading Friends Preschool where she established programs to meet the needs of a rapidly growing community.

Angela is passionate about giving back to the Community and the work of the Center. She has also lent her time and talents to various foundation boards. Angela is excited to be on the Board of Directors as well as a member of our External Affairs Committee.
